James Deen

Description

Today, James Deen is in the kitchen to make ramen matzo ball soup. He mentions that his goal is to create a fusion between the Asian culture and Jews culture. He shows off what he plans to do by smashing the uncooked ramen noodles and taking out the matzo mix. He says the ramen should match the consistency of the matzo mix. He then takes a handful of the matzo mix into his hand and licks some of it. He finds it delicious so he puts everything into his mouth. Before James can even start, the kitchen counter is already in chaos. All the ingredients and the cookware he will be using are laid on the counter. The matzo mix scattered all over it. James begins with the soup because he thinks it’s pretty easy and basic. He puts chicken stock, carrots and celery in a cooking pot and lets it boil. He now heads back to the kitchen counter to make matzo balls which according to him is a little difficult. He puts two different ramen noodles into the food grinder and grinds it until it looks powdered. James gets a mixing bowl and puts in two raw eggs, a quarter cup of oil, ramen mixture powder and the grounded ramen noodles. He uses a spoon until the ingredients are mixed well. He then puts the mixture inside the refrigerator for ten minutes. After 10 minutes, he takes out the mixture from the fridge and begins making ramen matzo balls. He makes a total of nine balls. He then puts them into boiling water and lets it cook for fifteen minutes. James adds mushrooms and corn on the soup and waits for another fifteen minutes. Around thirty minutes later, James Deen serves himself a bowl of ramen matzo ball soup, adds some shallot and soy sauce before eating it. He actually likes the soup and says that the Asian-Jew fusion is good. James Deen says, “It tastes like ramen matzo ball soup.”
